What does it mean to be born dead?
Matthew 8:22, Luke 9:60 – Let the dead bury their dead.
Why would Jesus say this?
Ephesians 2:1-5 – We were dead in our trespasses and sins.
Colossians 2:13 – What made us dead
Romans 7:8-9 – Our disobedience kills us.
When we don’t understand our initial status, we undervalue what God has done for us and what He is doing through us.
How does a dead man hear the voice of the living?
John 5:25-27 (vs. 24)
1 John 3:14 – passed from death to life because we truly love.
