The Spirit of God empowers the Word of GOD for conviction and understanding.
1 Thessalonians 1:5-6 – The Gospel came with Power and conviction, they received the Word in Joy of the Holy Spirit in the time of tribulations.
1 Cor 2:4 – The Wisdom of men contrast with the power of God. This power is not miracles. He is saying he relied on the power of the Holy Spirit, so that you would understand, how do we know this, look at verse 5.
1 Cor 2:5 – Your faith may not rest in the wisdom of men but in miracles? If that is true why would Paul also say in the same book of 1 Cor 1:22-24, the Jews seek a sign, Greeks seek Wisdom but we preach Christ Crucified.
