Isaiah 53

Isaiah 53 is a chapter that prophesies about the Messiah between 600-800 years before Jesus, who would suffer and die for the sins of humanity. The chapter describes how the Messiah would be rejected by his own people, despised and afflicted by God, and pierced and crushed for our transgressions. The chapter also declares that by his wounds we are healed, and that he would justify many by his knowledge and intercession.

Matthew 27:57-60

A rich man named Joseph of Arimathea went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus as prophesied by Isaiah. Pilate agreed and gave him permission to take it away. Joseph then bought a linen cloth and wrapped the body in it. He took it to his own tomb, which was new and had never been used before. He rolled a large stone across the entrance of the tomb and left.

Hebrews 2:17-18

Hebrews 2:17-18 is that Jesus became human like us so that he could be a kind and trustworthy high priest who can forgive our sins and help us when we are tempted. He knows what it’s like to suffer and be tempted, so he can relate to us and give us comfort.
