Simon the Pharisee – When Self-righteousness meets Total Surrender | Luke 7:36-50

In this sermon, Pastor Joel explores the story of Simon the Pharisee, who invited Jesus to have dinner with him, but failed to show him the proper hospitality. We will see how a sinful woman, who heard that Jesus was in Simon’s house, came and anointed Jesus’ feet with her tears and perfume, and how Jesus forgave her sins and praised her faith. This story is found in Luke 7:36-50 and teaches us about God’s grace, love and forgiveness. We will also compare Simon’s attitude with the woman’s attitude and things we can learn from this.
