Every thing we do is motivated by something. What motivates me? This is a question every believer must answer and especially when it comes to Worship? What is my reason for Worship?
Bible verses for reference:
John 4:16-24 – those who worship God must worship Him in spirit and Truth
Luke 4:8 – “‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.’
Deut 6:13 – It is the LORD your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear. (ESV)
Isaiah 11:1-5 – the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord
Acts 5:10-14 – Fear of the Lord came upon the Church and only those that believed joined them
Hebrews 12:26-29 – Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe
Revelations 14:6-7 – Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.
Exodus 34:6-9 – And Moses quickly bowed his head toward the earth and worshiped.
Revelation 15:3-4 – Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name?
For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you,
Psa 29:2 – Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.
